who we are

Triad Friends of Italy finds its beginning in 2006 as the Verrazano Lodge of the Order Sons of Italy. In 2008, after a disagreement with OSIA, the members agreed to transition to a dinner club known as the Triad Friends of Italy.

What makes us different from OSIA?

At this point, the Triad Friends of Italy is a free, donation only dinner club. That is there is no charge for membership, but people donate to cover the few costs we currently have. You do not need to be Italian to be part of our group but share in our combined love for "all things Italian."

Our focus is on recreating the big family dinners many experienced growing up. It is also our goal to educate ourselves in the culture, history, language, and, yes, the cuisine of the various parts of Italy

Meetings revolve around a pot-luck meal, homemade sweets, and wine and non-alcoholic drinks. At the table there is plenty of discussion and quarterly we enjoy a movie that helps us understand Italy a bit more.
